About Fempower Dance Co

Hi, I’m Tiff—founder, instructor, mum, teacher, and forever a dancer at heart. My journey to creating Fempower Dance Co is deeply personal, rooted in a longing for a dance space where women like me could explore movement, sensuality, and confidence without compromise or judgment.

I started dancing as a child but in my early 30s found myself in adult classes alongside teenagers at a traditional dance school. It felt out of place, unfun, and disconnected from the woman I was becoming. I wanted somewhere to dance fiercely, joyfully, and authentically—a place to reclaim my femininity on my terms, free from the pressure to be “family friendly” or fit a mold.

Fempower began as a single Friday night heels class in 2022—a spark of rebellion, sisterhood, and freedom. My best friend Amelia and I dreamed up the name on a PD day, and our community quickly grew beyond anything we imagined. Together with over 40 amazing volunteers, we turned an empty warehouse into a sanctuary for women and femmes, right here in Bunbury.

As a bisexual, neurodivergent mum who escaped an abusive relationship and knows what it’s like to lose yourself, I built Fempower to be radically inclusive, fiercely supportive, and joyously empowering. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned mover, our classes in heels, sneakers, jazz, burlesque, and pole are designed to help you own your strength and creativity.
